Gabrielle Rae Sammy
Adult Tap Instructor & Dance Teacher
Gabrielle is a triple threat with a committed work ethic and a natural flair onstage. She has performed professionally for companies such as White Noise Creations and ANDSOFORTH in their public productions. In her time at Universal Studios Singapore, she was selected to perform in multiple special events, notably an aerial harness performance.
Gabrielle was also a Veda Mekani Scholarship for Performing Arts recipient while obtaining her First Class Honours Degree in Musical Theatre from LASALLE College of the Arts. Her notable LASALLE credits include Aida in Aida (dir. Joe Barros); King Henry V in Henry V (dir. Adam Marple); and the Dance Captain and Associate Choreographer for Fiddler on the Roof (dir. Emily Maltby).
Gabrielle’s training started from the tender age of 2 under various syllabi, namely RAD, CSTD and ABRSM. She is well-versed in numerous dance styles such as jazz, ballet and tap – she still has her tiny baby tap shoes tucked away in her room.
Gabrielle has taught these styles to both children and adults in various dance studios across Singapore for the last 4 years. Gabrielle also teaches singing and ukulele and finds great joy in finding different ways to connect with her students. Gabrielle believes her ability to be observant and quick on her feet has greatly aided her in the professional circuit and hopes to pass these qualities on to the next generation.
Please join us in welcoming to lovely Miss Gaby to the DATD Team!
