Dance Teacher

Abbie May Willox is super excited to have relocated to Singapore from Australia to study her Bachelor (Hons) of Musical Theatre at the esteemed Lasalle College of the Arts. Abbie was fortunate enough to have received a scholarship from The Harvest Rain Theatre Company to complete her Diploma at The Brisbane Academy of Musical Theatre and has been completely enchanted by dance her entire life. Throughout her own dance training in learning both ballet and jazz, Abbie can clearly recognise just how integral a dedicated teacher and mentor is to a student’s success, without passionate teachers she wouldn’t have had the successes that lead her forward in her career.

Abbie has worked professionally both as a performer producing her own works, as well as a dance and vocal teacher for the West Australian Performance School in Perth, WA. Most notably, she was honoured to be invited by the Perth International Cabaret Festival to perform an original piece as part of the festivities before making the leap across the pond.

Abbie takes great pride and enjoyment in assisting her students flourish and discover the breadth of their talents! Teaching has awakened an unexpected branch of her passion for performance and she feels privileged to have the opportunity to share her love of dance with the eager, budding young dancers at DATD.
