Samyuktha

Teacher

Samyuktha began her ballet journey at the age of six and has continued to develop her training and passion for dance ever since. With a strong foundation in classical ballet, she has completed ballet examinations up to Sub-Elementary level, developing her technique, musicality and understanding of classical movement. She has also taken part in a variety of Community Centre (CC) performances, giving her valuable stage experience and a genuine appreciation for the confidence, discipline and joy that performing can bring.

Her own experience as a dancer has given Samyuktha an understanding of the importance of strong foundations, encouragement and creating a positive environment in which young dancers feel comfortable learning and expressing themselves.

Alongside her love of dance, Samyuktha has a natural passion for working with children and supporting their development. She has experience teaching Primary 1 to Primary 3 students through the YMCA, as well as caring for infants at an infant care centre. These experiences have strengthened her patient and nurturing approach and her ability to build positive connections with young children.

Samyuktha has also been a familiar face at DATD’s annual recitals since 2024, supporting our dancers backstage and helping them feel happy, confident and ready to shine on stage. This has given her the opportunity to get to know the DATD environment and experience first-hand the excitement and teamwork that goes into bringing our performances to life.

Now joining the DATD teaching team, Samyuktha is excited to combine her ballet training with her experience working with children. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge and love of dance with our students, helping them develop strong ballet foundations, musicality, coordination and confidence, while creating classes that are positive, encouraging and, most importantly, fun.

She hopes to inspire our young dancers to enjoy every stage of their dance journey and to develop the same love and appreciation for ballet that has been such an important part of her own.
